It's one factor to load a tool up with vendor-specific software (this is normal) however then to deny any request to get rid of said software is unacceptable. To severely exacerbate matters, specific user security settings are ignored by the applications. Sadly, this may be the last Eee-family purchase I build - right up to the purpose where I un-make it and come back the device.
